Ingredients

bsn-hyper-ingredients

BSN Hyper FX consists of a number proprietary formulas. That means that, although BSN discloses the ingredients, they do not tell us how much of each ingredient is in the product.

Endura Fusion Blend

This blend contains a range of amino acids and supporting ingredients designed to reduce fatigue and improve endurance.

Here’s the breakdown:

Beta Alanine – there have been many studies to show that beta-alanine buffers acid in the muscles. When you work out, the training creates a lot of lactic acid. There are acids that associate with that lactic acid and beta-alanine has been shown to buffer them, allowing you to get an extra one or two reps.

Citric Acid / Malic Acid – This has been added to speed up conversion of energy from ADP to ATP.

Taurine – this popular amino acid will help with your workout endurance.

Shock Force Spectrum Blend

This blend provides testosterone support, boosting muscle development and training intensity. Vitamin D and Aspartic Acid also help to increase focus levels while training.

D-Aspartic Acid – this compound got a lot of mileage from one study, which showed that it increased testosterone by 42% over 12 days. This certainly makes D-Aspartic acid a promising testosterone booster, but a longer study is needed to clinch it’s proven value.

Vitamin D3 – D3 is included as an energy booster, metabolism enhancer and a support to the immune system.

Thermic Matrix Blend

Choline / Caffeine / Bitter Orange / Niacin / Huperzine A – this is the stimulant boosting part of the product. It contains 270 mg of caffeine per dose, which is quite large.

BSN Hyper FX also includes some nootropic ingredients designed to increase focus and drive in the gym.

Red Pepper / Black Pepper – Red and black pepper are thermogenic aids which rev up the metabolism to enhance fat burning. They also tend to increase the absorption of other nutrients.

Neuro Power Composite Blend

This blend does not include creatine. Instead, it uses a combination of Carnosyn, betain, and Peak ATP to buffer ATP levels in the body. Carnosyn delivers a more bio-friendly form of beta-alanine to the muscles to buffer muscle fatigue. This supports the anaerobic respiration capacity of the muscles, providing more energy during the workout.

Betaine Anhydrous – Betaine helps to lower homocysteine levels in the body. It is also an antioxidant. It is claimed to help with endurance, but there are no human studies to back up this claim.

Sodium Bicarbonate – This will cause the mixture to fizz up a little when mixing. Bicarbonate increase peristolysis, which can help to settle upset stomachs and gas which is often caused by supplements such as this one.

How to Take It

Hyper FX comes in five flavors:

  • Raspberry
  • Fruit Punch
  • Blue Raz
  • Grape
  • Watermelon

To take the product, mix one level scoop with 3-6 ounces of water. Drink it immediately.

You should take this supplement on an empty stomach.

You should take Hyper FX 30-45minutes before your workout.

If you are not used to taking caffeine, start with just half a scoop over the first couple of weeks so that your body can get used to it.

To prevent your body from developing a tolerance to this product, don’t take it more than four times per week. After 35-40 days of taking Hyper FX, take a break for a couple of weeks. This will allow your body to stay sensitive to the supplement.

Cost

BSN Hyper FX comes in a 30 serving container. The retail price on the BSN website is $39.99. Cheaper prices are, however, available online.

The per serving cost, based on the manufacturer’s recommended retail price, is $1.33.

Summary

BSN Hyper FX is a well priced concentrated energy supplement that is best suited for fast-paced, high volume workouts. It won’t give you much of a pump but will provide for a sustained energy release over the course of an hour or so.

Hyper FX’s benefits will be most felt by beginning trainers as opposed to hardcore heavy lifters. If you are in the latter category, you will be better off with BSN’s sister product NO- Xplode.
